Description:
Lakeview Park Beach is a sandy beach located on the shore of Lake Ontario within Lakeview Park and is a popular destination offering museums, picnic areas, playgrounds, sports fields, and a waterfront pier.
- Community members are reminded to follow health authority guidelines, government orders, and posted signage while visiting the Beach. This includes maintaining physical distancing of at least 2 metres (6 feet) or more between persons not in your household.
- Lifeguards are on-site daily from the 3rd Monday of June until Labour Day between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. weather permitting. Supervision may be adjusted due to heat alerts, rain, or air temperatures falling below 18°C.
- Group sports and activities such as volleyball and frisbee are not permitted.
- On-site enforcement by Municipal By-Law Enforcement.
- Park washroom facilities are available from May until the end of October. Washroom facilities include the main washroom building located near the Jubilee Pavilion and a number of accessible portable washroom units with hand sanitizers which are available when the main washroom facilities are closed. The washroom building located near the beach is closed. Please note that COVID-19 restrictions may impact park operations – visitors are asked to visit the City’s COVID-19 Updates webpage for facility updates and additional information prior to visiting the park.
