Waterfront Trail
The Waterfront Trail stretches over 1400 km along the Canadian shores of Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair and the Niagara, Detroit and St. Lawrence Rivers. Oshawa's section of the trail is 11 km and travels along the shore of Lake Ontario from the Town of Whitby border on the west to the Clarington border on the east. The recreational trail has scenic views of the Lake and connects people to the waterfront and nature.
Along Oshawa's portion of the recreational trail you can visit a number of parks and natural areas including: Lakeview Park, Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park, Lakefront West Park, Renaissance Park, Stone Street Park, Pumphouse Marsh and Oshawa Second Marsh. The Waterfront Trail has become a well-loved recreational trail.
You can now use your smartphone camera to scan Quick Response (QR) codes placed on signage along the trail to learn about the various parks, points of interest and amenities on the Trail. The QR codes can also help with wayfinding by linking you to other points of interest along the trail.
